Group Guidelines
Active Join Groups lists WhatsApp groups and channels, Telegram groups and channels, and Facebook groups and pages that are useful, respectful and safe for a general audience. These Group Guidelines explain what we accept, what we never accept and how our review works. Every submission is screened by an automatic filter, doubtful submissions are held for manual review, and links that break these rules are removed.
What we welcome
- study, exam preparation, skills and language-learning groups;
- job groups that share real vacancies with an official way to apply;
- news, sports, cricket, technology, business and freelancing communities;
- Islamic and other religious groups that share respectful reminders and learning;
- hobby groups: poetry, cooking, travel, gaming, music, movies and dramas;
- local and city communities, and buy-and-sell groups with clear rules;
- friendship and chat groups with active admins and rules against harassment.
What we never list
- Adult and sexual content: pornography, nudity, sexually suggestive names or pictures, escort services, and dating or hook-up groups;
- Anything involving minors in an unsafe way, including groups that invite school children to chat with strangers;
- Harassment and privacy abuse: sharing other people's photos, numbers or personal details, "numbers" groups, or groups targeting individuals;
- Scams and risky money schemes: fake jobs, upfront-fee offers, money doubling, guaranteed-profit investments, pyramid and referral schemes;
- Illegal goods and services: drugs, weapons, fake documents, hacked accounts, account cracking, malware and hacking services;
- Piracy: pirated movies, paid courses, books, software or leaked exam papers;
- Gambling and betting groups and channels;
- Hate and violence: content that attacks people for their religion, ethnicity, gender or other characteristics, or that promotes violence or terrorism;
- Impersonation: groups pretending to be an official company, government department, bank or famous person.
Names, pictures and descriptions
- The name must describe the group honestly. Misleading names are edited or rejected.
- Pictures must be suitable for all ages. Pictures of new groups stay hidden until our team has checked the group.
- Descriptions should explain the topic and rules. Phone numbers, payment requests and links to other groups are not allowed in descriptions.
Platform-specific notes
- WhatsApp: groups should keep "Approve new participants" or clear rules if they handle sensitive topics.
- Telegram: public and private invite links are both accepted. Channels that only repost pirated files are removed.
- Facebook: group and page links must be public or show a join request option. Pages must be real pages, not personal profiles.
How review works
- When a link is submitted, we check that it is a real WhatsApp, Telegram or Facebook link and, where the app allows it, that the invite still works.
- The name, description and tags pass our word filter. Anything doubtful waits for manual review.
- Visitors can report any link. Reported links are reviewed and removed if they break these rules.
- Links that stop working are marked as broken and removed from the lists.
Tips for a listing that gets more joins
- Choose the most accurate category and platform type.
- Write the description in your own words: purpose, audience, language and main rules.
- Use a clear, honest name that matches the content.
- Keep your invite link working; if you reset it, submit the new link.
- Keep the group active. Visitors leave quickly if the last message is weeks old, and broken or dead groups are removed.
Reporting a listing
Every listing page has a Report link button. Use it for broken links, spam, scams, adult content, harassment or anything else that breaks these guidelines. Reports are anonymous to the group admin. Serious reports, such as those involving children, threats or fraud, are reviewed first.
Removal and appeals
We may remove or edit any listing at any time to keep Active Join Groups safe. If you are the admin of a group that was removed and you believe it follows these rules, contact us through our Contact Us page with the group link and a short explanation.
